Old Mill Ice Cream, Copenhagen NY

Old Mill Ice Cream is a new addition to the quiet village of Copenhagen.   This little stand has it all.  A good location, near the town square just around the corner from the Cottage Inn.

Beautiful views of the river that runs through the village.

Delicious ice cream at a reasonable price with great customer service.

 This is the kiddie twist.

 A nice link to the past with the history of the mill.

One of the best features is the homey  comfortable seating area that makes it feel like we were having ice cream in a friend's backyard.  

It was nice to see the diversity of the happy customers.  Ladies out for the afternoon, a kid on a bicycle and a construction worker at the end of a shift all seemed equally pleased with their choices.

The young woman who waited on us was great.  We ordered a soft twist in cone .  She was honest and explained that the vanilla was running soft, which was easy to understand given the sweltering heat.  This gave us a chance to choose something else.  We took a chance on the soft serve and it was fine.  She took the extra step of providing a bowl and spoon just in case.
