What a little gem. We we stumbled across this historic restaurant on a trip from Plattsburgh New York. The owner waiter bartender andand I'm not sure what other functions he was performing that day was wonderful. Chatting with him is like a history lesson. The restaurant is adorned with memorabilia throughout the years. It was like a trip back in time.
We visited between seasons and the porch was closed for the winter, so it was difficult to experience the full beauty of the lake.
It is possible to eat here for close to minimum wage, if you order the soup and salad bar or a burger sandwich. We opted for a full dinner which included the soup, salad and bread bar. The quantity of food provided in the dinner gave us ample leftovers for another meal.
Overall rating 4.5. It's a little pricey but they make up for it with a view and historic charm.
