My opinion scale & how it relates to economics. In NY min. wage increases to $15. This is a look at what $9 or current min. will buy. Decide if it is worth it to you. See if purchasing power increases. Hoodie Foodie opinion scale. Everyone or maybe just Google wants my opinion, so I thought I should come up with a standard. 3 stars does what it says at a reasonable price. 4 better price, product or service. 5 something special. 2 below min/ price misalignment 1 problem

Robin's Nest, Pierrepont Manor

I am very happy to see this place given a new life. I suspect by the aging gas pumps it was once a general store. But I could be wrong as it has been a restaurant for as long as I can remember. The ice cream stand is a welcome addition. They have a good assortment of delicious Gifford Ice Cream. We have supported the restaurant through the years and it's various iterations. We plan to go back and try the real food. It's just hard to drive by and not grab a quick cone.

What a gem. We were so happy to find this little place. Everything we tried was delicious and the prices are very fair for the quality.

Park Bros. Bagels and Coffee, Potsdam

We were close to Potsdam so we decided to swing by the Bagelery and pick up some bagels to go. I didn't realize it had new owners. It wasn't bad, just different. Fancier and more formal. I'd probably still stop if I was going by, but wouldn't drive out of the way.
