Tim Hortons , Watertown

 Location, location, location 

I was very happy when a Tim Hortons was built at this location.  An independent bakery had been part of this little corner plaza for decades.  That bakery moved to a larger location leaving a void. It's nice to have a place where people can sit, relax and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. They don't have table service or someone stopping by to top off your cup, but they do have seating.  They also have a drive thru which is a convenient feature.

   I am very happy to see this place given a new life.  I suspect by the aging gas pumps it was once a general store.  But I could be wrong as it has been a restaurant for as long as I can remember. The ice cream stand is a welcome addition.    They have a good assortment of delicious Gifford Ice Cream.  We have supported the restaurant through the years and it's various iterations.  We plan to go back and try the real food.  It's just hard to drive by and not grab a quick cone.

Park Bros. Bagels and Coffee, Potsdam

   We were close to Potsdam so we decided to swing by the Bagelery and pick up some bagels to go.  I didn't realize it had new owners.  It wasn't bad, just different.  Fancier and more formal. I'd probably still  stop if I was going by, but wouldn't drive out of the way.
