Red Lobster, Watertown

 I tend to prefer local homestyle restaurants, but every now and then I get the urge to go to a chain.  This time it was Red Lobster.




The Trio.  Coconut Shrimp was the top pick 
 They were out of baked potatoes.  

 Basic fish fry.  

 Salad

 Famous Red Lobster biscuits.

  Nice evening.

   I am very happy to see this place given a new life.  I suspect by the aging gas pumps it was once a general store.  But I could be wrong as it has been a restaurant for as long as I can remember. The ice cream stand is a welcome addition.    They have a good assortment of delicious Gifford Ice Cream.  We have supported the restaurant through the years and it's various iterations.  We plan to go back and try the real food.  It's just hard to drive by and not grab a quick cone.

Park Bros. Bagels and Coffee, Potsdam

   We were close to Potsdam so we decided to swing by the Bagelery and pick up some bagels to go.  I didn't realize it had new owners.  It wasn't bad, just different.  Fancier and more formal. I'd probably still  stop if I was going by, but wouldn't drive out of the way.
