El Bajio Mexican Restaurant, Seneca Falls

The good news was it was absolutely possible to eat here for less than $10.40.  We visited at lunchtime and found an extensive lunch menu.  The bad news is we opted to try a vegetarian option and it didn't even taste like food.  The mushroom quesadilla was ok.  The spinach quesadilla tasted like salty chemicals.  We told the waiter we couldn't eat it.  He offered to make another one without salt.  It still had a very strange taste.  Still couldn't eat it. 
 Complementary chips and salsa.  Wonderful.

 Fajitas, very good.

 Not good.  


 Nice atmosphere.  Good service.  I am rating this restaurant a 2 which is an average.  One meal was a 0 the other a solid 4.

   I am very happy to see this place given a new life.  I suspect by the aging gas pumps it was once a general store.  But I could be wrong as it has been a restaurant for as long as I can remember. The ice cream stand is a welcome addition.    They have a good assortment of delicious Gifford Ice Cream.  We have supported the restaurant through the years and it's various iterations.  We plan to go back and try the real food.  It's just hard to drive by and not grab a quick cone.

Park Bros. Bagels and Coffee, Potsdam

   We were close to Potsdam so we decided to swing by the Bagelery and pick up some bagels to go.  I didn't realize it had new owners.  It wasn't bad, just different.  Fancier and more formal. I'd probably still  stop if I was going by, but wouldn't drive out of the way.
