Guido's Pizzeria, Tupper Lake

We stopped for Pizza after church on a Saturday evening.   We ordered Pizza and asked for glasses of water.  They couldn't provide them because they didn't have cups.   They sold 2 liter soda bottles, but had no cups? They also had a selection of beer, man ordered a beer, partner ordered a beer.  They didn't have the kind she wanted.  Bartender/waitress charged him for his beer.  He explained that they would be ordering more drinks and food and he wanted to start a tab.  He was told they don't do that.  He pulled out cash and paid for his beer, by the time she made change the partner made a selection.  This time they had it.  He pulled out more cash and paid, again trying to explain they were going to be ordering food.  Waitress just restated the price.  He paid cash again for the second beer.  It seemed like such an odd way to handle the transaction.

Wonderful little bakery.  We enjoyed our visit.  The only thing that made it a little awkward was finding the prices on some items.  They were having a great sale on cream pies, but we were traveling and I didn't need a whole pie.    Tomato Pie

We were very happy to discover this restaurant.  We hadn't really planned to eat out.  We were camping in the area during a heat wave.  The area had very limited internet access.   This little gem has fair prices, ample portions and tasty choices.  It's air conditioned and they have wifi if you ask.
