This is more of treat restaurant.  It is located in a resort area so as expected prices are a bit higher.  About the only thing that can be ordered for under minimum wage - soup, a few appetizers or a simple salad. The lunch menu offers some items that are just above minimum.  I had the grilled chicken sandwich  for $14.79.  It was very good, but the real bonus was the homemade chips.  We unfortunately didn't have time to sit and enjoy the environment, so we did a to go order. 1 dinner, 1 lunch and a dessert was just over $40 before tip.

Rating be 3.8  We visited here on national Ice Cream Day, which makes it a little difficult to rate.  For weeks we've been hearing advertisements for dollar cones to celebrate the day.  The first challenge involved getting in the door.  We went today what appeared to be the main entrance, it didn't have a door knob and was clearly marked exit.  It was the last building in the little strip plaza and the building next door look like a different business, so we assume decide to rear entrance.  We quickly determine that was not the way in.  Who walked back around to the front just as someone was leaving.  He asked if we were looking for the entrance and pointed out that it was next door.  Seems they made the same mistake.  The entrance is in fact through the consignment store next door.   Inside we were greeted by a pleasant and somewhat eclectic interior.  We ordered the cones, I am not sure if they were small or the baby size.  I heard him mention the promotional size, so I susp

Rating 3.9   Location, for us we have a few other restaurants that are closer, but we like this one.  It is located in a small plaza on a busy road.  Usually parking is available.  It's hard to say if Covid made the parking situation better or worse.  Less people shopping, more people waiting in cars. Depending on traffic it's difficult to make a left turn to get out of the car so it's faster to turn right and cut through the mall.   Although take out and delivery were always the primary business, they did have an option for eat in with seating for less than 20.  Since Covid it's takeout and delivery only.  They do allow people to wait inside and provide a few chairs.    Most recent order was just for appetizers.  8 egg rolls and 3 orders of spring rolls.  The total didn't seem to match what I thought it should have been based on the menu from the website. I question the total thinking maybe they had added an extra item or a delivery charge.  They hadn't.  I to

These little stores can hit multiple categories.  They went from simple milk stores to full convenience stores with groceries, sandwich counters and gas stations.  In the summer they even have a window for soft serve ice cream.    Small Twist, good value for $2.29.  Be warned the ice cream counter closes before the rest of the store.

A nice little diner, but the star of show is the ice cream   Small Soft Strawberry  Small Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough The ice cream is excellent And the atmosphere is fun. The smallest size they offer is a baby cone, so that makes it a bit pricey if you are looking for a little treat or have a family to feed.  They do a good job with the Covid precautions.   Rating for the Ice Cream Stand 4.3

I am very happy to see this place given a new life.  I suspect by the aging gas pumps it was once a general store.  But I could be wrong as it has been a restaurant for as long as I can remember. The ice cream stand is a welcome addition.    They have a good assortment of delicious Gifford Ice Cream.  We have supported the restaurant through the years and it's various iterations.  We plan to go back and try the real food.  It's just hard to drive by and not grab a quick cone.
